Takeo Shindo

Director & CEO

With over 38 years of experience, Takeo’s (Tac) been with Isuzu for his entire working career. He joined Isuzu’s parts department fresh out of university in 1986 before taking on a sales role within Isuzu’s Dealership, Shinano Isuzu Motors, in Nagano in December of the same year.

After 4.5 years of service, Tac returned to Isuzu’s headquarters where he spent 6 years conducting market research as part of the internal sales division. 

 

Taking the skills, he’d learned in Tokyo and as part of Isuzu’s internal sales team, Tac took an overseas posting as a manager working for American Isuzu Motors in 1997. Over the next 2 and half years, Tac developed a range of leadership skills he’d use within his next roles.

 

Between 2001 and 2006, Tac worked as manager of business planning between General Motors, and as Corporate Business Planning Manager of all Isuzu motors. After that, Tac worked in a range of senior leadership roles, as General manager of Asia market. 

 

In 2009 Tac moved to Thailand where he worked as Director, operating the pick-up truck factory (capacity is more than 300,000 units), before becoming Director of Sales in Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia in 2011 for 5 years.

 

Returning to IML HQ in 2016, Tac took on the role of General manager of Sales in charge of Africa and Middle East. During this time, Tac built several key relationships with Isuzu’s main business partners GM Egypt, GM East Africa and GM South Africa, and Mega dealers in Saudi Arabia.

 

In 2018, Tac took on the role of Managing Director at Isuzu Asia Ltd. Joining Isuzu Australia Limited in 2021 as Managing Director and CEO, Tac’s positive outlook and expertise throughout the trucking and automotive industries have helped Isuzu Australia maintain its more than 35 years of market leadership.

Masayuki Takahashi

Director & CFO

Masayuki (Freddy) started with Isuzu in 1991 as part of the Finance team. Over the last 33 years, he’s worked in various key roles throughout Isuzu including in Cost Control, Accounting, Finance Administration, and Corporate Planning.

Joining Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) in 2023 as Director and CFO, Freddy’s focus on open communication and teamwork has helped IAL achieve continuous growth and maintain financial stability.  

Andrew Harbison

Director & Chief Operating Officer

With 30 years’ experience, in and around road transport, Andrew holds a unique industry perspective. He previously held positions with Holden and Auto One Australia.


Previous to those roles, he spent 18 years with Beaurepaires and South Pacific Tyres in both the retail and wholesale operations.

Andrew has been with Isuzu for over 15 years, starting as State Sales Manager in Queensland.

 

He has also previously held the position of National Sales Manager and is now Director and Chief Operating Officer of Isuzu Australia Limited.

Paul Evans

Special Advisor To The Board

Paul started his career as a graduate at GM Holden, rotating through finance, forecasting, IT, product development, marketing, and dealer development. In 2000, Paul joined Isuzu General Motors (I-GM) as the Dealer Development Manager.

Over the years, he’s taken on additional responsibilities overseeing legal functions, strategic planning, and roles as the Company Secretary and CRM Program Manager.

 

Paul was appointed to Isuzu Australia’s executive team as Director & Chief of Corporate Services in 2019. He currently holds the position as Director & Chief Risk Officer with Legal and Sustainability & Compliance reporting to him.

Ashwin Iyer

Chief Of Corporate Services

With 20+ years' experience across automotive, technology and government sectors, Ashwin as Isuzu’s Chief of Corporate Services is responsible for the People & Culture, Finance and IT departments.

Starting at Isuzu in 2018 as the Head of IT, Ashwin delivered an enterprise-wide systems transformation program in addition to an uplift in Isuzu’s cyber security posture.

 

With his extensive experience in corporate governance and as an advocate of collaborative leadership, Ashwin believes success is reliant on a combination of empowered people, effective systems and processes. 

Ben Lasry

Director & Chief Of Sales And Aftersales

Ben has spent his entire career of over 25 years in the automotive industry building strong industry relationships and a broad skill base. 

Ben has developed an impressive resume having worked in a range of key roles for GM Holden, plus stints with the Walkinshaw Automotive Group and at PrixCar Services.  

 

Joining Isuzu Australia Limited in 2020, Ben has executive responsibility for the overall performance and operation of the Sales, Aftersales and Network Development teams supporting the Isuzu Network of Dealers and Authorised outlets and customers. 

Matt Sakhaie

Chief Of Product

Matt joined Isuzu Australia Limited in 2010 with over 25 years of experience across the Automotive, Power & Energy solutions, and engineering service sectors within Australia and internationally. 

Responsible for Isuzu Power Solutions (IPS) Department, Matt stepped up to the role of Head of Product in 2023.

 

Since then, Matt’s championed a combination of systematic and innovative approaches to transform Isuzu Product Dept. to make the solutions portfolio future proof. He is a member of Engineers Australia and of the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers.

Kathryn Ball

General Counsel & Company Secretary

As General Counsel and Company Secretary, Kathryn Ball is responsible for all legal issues impacting Isuzu, including documentation of commercial transactions, dispute resolution, legislative compliance, general legal risk management and legal training.   

Kathryn is a member of the Sustainability Committee and the Risk and Audit Committee.  She supports the Isuzu Board as Company Secretary, has oversight of Isuzu’s Privacy Act compliance and maintains responsibility for human rights as they impact the company.

 

Kathryn brings a wealth of automotive and logistics knowledge to her role which ensures Isuzu remains an industry leader in its responses to relevant automotive legal issues.

Craig White

Head of Sales

Backed by a successful career in passenger and commercial automotive sales, including key accounts with companies such as Michelin Tyres, Craig first joined Isuzu Australia Limited as Zones Sales Manager for South and Western Australia in 2017, before a promotion to National Dealer Sales Manager in 2020.

Taking on the role of Head of Sales in 2023, Craig utilises his strong bonds with the Isuzu Dealer Network and his broad industry experience to develop and manage the sales functions and strategy for both Isuzu Trucks and Isuzu Power Solutions brands. 

John Walker

Head of Marketing & Customer Experience

With over 16 years of experience leading marketing and customer teams across automotive, IT and telecommunications sectors, John brings a critical focus to delivering exceptional customer experience outcomes.

Having completed an MBA at the globally recognised Melbourne Business School, John’s strategic approach is coupled with extensive digital transformation experience.

 

 

John has also previously held the position of Digital Marketing Manager at Isuzu and is now Head of Marketing & Customers Experience. 

Kylie Barlin 

Director & Chief Strategy Officer

Kylie brings a wealth of expertise to our team, with a background spanning over 18 years in automotive and finance.

Her impressive career includes key roles at Toyota Finance Australia, Maxxia, and Toyota Motor Asia Pacific.

Most notably, Kylie served as the Head of Strategy and Transformation at Toyota Finance Australia.

Craig Chalmers

Financial Controller

Craig started his career with Isuzu-General Motors (I-GM) in 1994, as a graduate from the University of Melbourne.

Going on to successfully complete CPA qualifications, over 29 years, Craig worked his way steadily through I-GM’s and Isuzu Australia Limited’s (IAL) finance departments, including roles in claims, payables, budgeting and analysis, tax and treasury.

 

 

In 2002, Craig took on the position of Finance Manager before taking on the position of Financial Controller in 2019. In his current role Craig oversees IAL’s financial and regulatory compliance.

Brett Stewart

Head Of Aftersales

With his background as a diesel mechanic and a career spanning over 26 years in the transport industry including roles such as truck fleet maintenance manager.

After moving across to OEM firstly as a Technical Support Consultant, Brett quickly progressed and now holds the position as Head of Aftersales with Isuzu Trucks.

 

Brett’s hands-on, in-depth technical and business knowledge brings an informed and valued aftersales industry perspective as we continue to support customers in today’s challenging economic environment.

Aninka Morhall

Head Of People & Culture

Joining Isuzu in 1989 as a Purchasing Officer, Aninka’s been with Isuzu for more than 3 decades.

In her time with Isuzu, Aninka’s held roles in Quality Management, Administration, Human Resources, Distribution, Logistics, Safety and Facilities, IT, risk management and compliance.

 

As Head of People & Culture, Aninka has overseen a variety of major projects including the development  of Isuzu Australia Limited’s Truganina Head Office.

 

 

Her current responsibilities include, the continuous improvement of company culture, talent management and development. 

David Connors

Head Of IT

Having worked in Information Technology for over 23 years, David brings a wealth of experience to Isuzu Australia.

David began his journey in IT in 2001 as a Systems Engineer before going on to work in key technology leadership roles in organisations across a variety of sectors including Defence, Retail and Professional Services. 

 

 

Joining Isuzu in 2023, in his role as Head of Information Technology, David’s focus on innovation has helped him lead a highly successful team of IT professionals.

 

 

In his role, David is responsible for IT project delivery and cybersecurity as well as developing and maintaining Isuzu's evolving digital infrastructure amongst other things.

Daniel Ciantar

Head Of Supply Chain

Daniel brings over 16 years of experience to his role of Head of Supply Chain for Isuzu Australia.

In a range of roles from customer facing positions through to operational management.

 

As head of Supply Chain, Daniel not only manages the incoming logistics of vehicles and parts, but also the wholesale delivery of trucks and part delivery to dealers across Australia.

 

Daniel is also responsible of parts to New Zealand and through a number of South Pacific Island nations.

Nathan Ton

Head Of Network Development

Building on two decades of experience in the automotive industry, Nathan heads our Network Development Department.

In his current role, Nathan is responsible for supporting the Dealer Network to operate at its optimum performance and deliver the desired outcomes for all stakeholders.

 

With over 70 dealership and authorised service and parts outlet locations spreading across the network, Nathan and his team work closely with each dealer to ensure the continuing success of the Isuzu brand.
